There are three main types of music written by Amos Deane. Traditional scores are music written in a classical style. These involve real instruments performed by real musicians which is then recorded,. Music under the name halflight which is predominantly ambient/atmospheric music using a melodic style but produced with electronic sounds. Music written for the Amos Deane band is music in rock, folk, jazz and blues styles. This music also involves real musicians and can - and has - been performed live.
		scores			Traditional music written for theatre, film, and new media. Style is melodic and often minimalist, similar in part to Michael Nyman and Phillip Glass.
		halflight			Halflight is the flipside of Amos Deane's instrumental work using the same melodic style but this time in an electronic context.
		Amos Deane band			This predominantly rock and jazz/blues music but also includes some traditional styles and acoustic folk music.
